Epoch-level correlation coefficients (r) were ≥0.73, and weighted kappa for intensity classifications ranged from 0.71 (ENMO, hip) to 0.98 (VM counts, non-dominant wrist). Monitors were equivalent for all outcomes, except ENMO (all locations/monitors), percent of time spent in sedentary/light (hip) and moderate (hip and non-dominant wrist) activity as classified by ENMO-based cut-points, and vigorous activity as classified by VM count cut-points (non-dominant wrist; p > 0.05). While epoch-level data were not identical, most outcomes were strongly related between models (e.g., MAD, VM) and equivalent once reduced to percent of time spent in each intensity.     Pathologic examination of conduction system (CS) is not routinely performed, and histologic changes are mostly reported in forensic practice.

    We studied the value of dissecting the CS in a cohort of pediatric patients with unexplained sudden death or severe, inexplicable arrhythmias. Histopathologic changes present in CS components were recorded and correlated with findings noted in other cardiac structures.

    Twenty-one subjects (11 unexplained sudden deaths and 10 life-threatening arrhythmias) were identified; 18 (86%) had CS pathologic abnormalities. In 13 patients (62%), the CS findings mirrored those found in other cardiac sections (inflammation, allograft vasculopathy, vascular fibromuscular dysplasia, cardiomyopathy-related changes, and tumor/tumor-like conditions). Five cases (24%) had abnormalities restricted to CS (bundle of His [BH] with fibrotic scar and patch material following ventricular septal defect repair, inflammation, BH with fibrosis and calcifications, and intimal fibroplasia of sinoatrial node artery).

Nonkeratinizing NPC is strongly associated with prior Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. These tumors may be divided into differentiated and undifferentiated carcinoma. Histologically, the tumor is characterized by syncytia of large malignant cells with vesicular nuclei, conspicuous nucleoli, and easily observed mitotic figures. We report a case of a 14-year-old boy diagnosed with EBV and human papillomavirus (HPV)-positive NPC (WHO type 3) with cytogenetics showing the presence of mosaic trisomy 2. This case report brings to light a rare cytogenetic aberration to our knowledge only reported once before in the literature in a xenograft model.

    Low levels of mental health literacy about depression in the community impact negatively on attitudes towards people with the disorder and their help-seeking.

    The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of a problem-solving, Story-bridge mental health literacy programme, in improving community leaders’ knowledge about helpful interventions for, and recognition of, depression.

    A cluster randomised controlled trial involving 140 assembly members, intervention (

     = 70) and control (

     = 70) groups. The intervention group received a three-hour mental health literacy programme. The control group received a plain language basic brochure about mental health issues. Data were collected at baseline and 12-week follow-up.

    The intervention group demonstrated greater improvement in knowledge about helpful interventions for, and recognition of, depression compared to the control group at follow-up; however, the differences in both measures were small and not statistically significant.

    The programme has the potential to improve participants’ knowledge about helpful interventions for, and recognition of, depression.
