The only drawback is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed. A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows the maintenance tasks that are required, such as emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. It’s also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with Eufy’s own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to needing to recharge or returning back to the base. It can then change its direction automatically and clean around them, without missing a step.

This is the most expensive of the three models I’ve examined, but it’s also feature-packed. Its sleek, angular style is eye-catching and it only has three physical buttons that include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.

The only downside I found with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn’t removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if needed, but it’s difficult to remove the mount for washing manually. I’ve observed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these through the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery’s life. However, you’ll need to jump through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model which is a pity considering the performance of this model.
