Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
If you’re looking to tidy up messes quickly then a robot vacuum and mop is the way to go. The top robot vacuums and mops I tested had great mapping and navigation. They sucked up Cheerios and fake dog turds as well as tangled wires.
You can also schedule cleaning tasks using an app and track their progress.
1. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the best robot mop and vacuum combo. It has the latest features. This top-of-the-line vacuum is fast and agile, and it picked up pet hair and human dander nearly flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also has a smart-looking interface that includes a mini map of your home and some on-screen buttons to allow manual control.
The S8’s Dirt Detection Technology enables it to change the cleaning mode according to dirt levels. It will pause and clean its mopping pad more frequently when it comes across dust, while prioritizing carpeted areas to be mopped with a damp pad.
The mop’s roller has a number of other smart features, including docks that can be connected to your home plumbing system to wash and clean it without having to refill the mop. You can even make use of voice commands using the built-in voice assistant of the S8, saying “Hey Rocky” to specify the cleaning of your room, modes, and granular control options with your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those who want a hands free robot vacuum with mopping capabilities. It’s part of a litany of robot vacuums that also feature mops but comes at a cheaper price than many of the competitors.
Like many robovacs Yeedi Cube requires a little amount of work to get started, including setting up an account with the official app of the manufacturer and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once that’s done, the robot can start cleaning and mopping easily.
It is important to note that the mapping process can take quite a while and it could require a few attempts before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate image of your space. The object detection feature is hit-and-miss. It was able skirt around furniture and other obstacles however, it got stuck on a looser rug with tassels, and had to flip over to release itself. But these are minor flaws, and the Yeedi Cube is still a great option for those looking for an all-in-one solution for cleaning.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete delivers a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features a rotating motion that is similar to hand scrubs. This results in floors being cleaned, not just cleaned. The vacuum stick that can be detached is an innovative tool that can reach areas where a robot vacuum cannot.
This model is nearly identical to the well-known X2 Omni but with a slightly higher suction capacity of 8,700Pa as well as a few additional smart features. The RGBD sensor upgrade can be used to learn your home’s surroundings and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. The app’s smart feature allows you to modify a range of settings including AI cleanings and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping and has both the robot vacuum as well as the mop returning to their charging station after each task to wash their pads, empty their dust bins, and put the waste in the self-sealing bags. This helps keep the system clean, and stops allergens from circulating. The battery life is long enough to clean large areas without requiring the battery to be charged mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop model that has impressive features for a reasonable price. It is equipped with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power, a rotating brush for hard and carpet floors and a great obstacle-avoiding. It also features an unique mopping method that uses a roller constantly sprayed with water to collect dirt and deposit it into the dirty water tank.
Its navigation technology performed well in navigating close to walls without crashing and avoiding stairs. However, it did struggle with fine-grained debris and was not always able to remove raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise level is also high, so this model might not be as simple to set and forget as others.
Like most robotic vacuums and mops, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that allows you to refill its clean water and empty its dust bin and mop pad, as well as wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance easy and allows the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors in accordance with the regular schedule. You can manage all of its functions using the Eufy app. It provides a clear overview and plenty of configurability.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the top robot mowers available, and offers an impressive mix of mopping and vacuuming performance. The LIDAR mapping sensors can detect furniture legs, obstacles and other obstacles with a reasonable accuracy. The application allows users to adjust the coverage of the map, establish no-go zones, or customize cleaning preferences. The Freo’s main roller brush is also designed to prevent hair from wrapping around it, which is an issue for many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too and comes with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM and apply up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system is equipped with smart carpet detectors, which lift these pads up when they are close to soft surfaces in order to avoid contamination.
The all-in-one docking station serves as a hands-free maintenance center, automatically washing and drying the mops before refilling them with water and detergent. The base station comes with an integrated dust processing system that compacts dust and allows for seven weeks of maintenance-free operation.
6. S10
A few hundred dollars cheaper than the S8, this robot is a slick job of keeping my office clean and can also take on the corners of my cramped apartment. It makes use of laser mapping and a camera to make an image of your space and knows where to stay away from. It also has a detector for objects and obstructions that can avoid things like dog bowls and toys (but not the poop) unlike other vacuums.
It also comes with other highlights, such as an automatic emptying dust bin and a mop pad self-washing and adjustable for water temperature, and a side-reaching sweeper brush that can get to places that other mops don’t. You can also alter the settings for each room and set up cleaning schedules.
It comes with the same multi-room smart mapping feature as the S8 and can distinguish between carpets and laminate with high-pile carpets. And, if you’re looking to cut down on time, it can skip cleaning rooms that aren’t filthy. It’s an excellent option if you have a mix of flooring in your home and aren’t looking to spend the extra money on the Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
If you’re looking for a versatile robot vacuum and mop that is able to handle regular maintenance and touch-ups on wet messes, this robot is an excellent choice. It comes with a wide range of features, including a self emptying dustbin as well as a dock that can be used for refilling water, as well as adjustable settings that can be adjusted via the app. It’s surprisingly quiet and is able to easily move around furniture legs or socks. It can’t pick knots in the rug and its battery drains quicker than other models we’ve tried.
With a cost of less than $250 it’s the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly device that packs powerful suction and a handy automation into a slick design. It wasn’t as efficient as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our vacuuming tests however, it did very well. My Source has a variety of cleaning options, ranging from the low-power ‘Quiet mode for light debris to the more powerful ‘Turbo mode’ for carpeted areas. It can even be programmed to automatically remove and replace mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great robot vacuum and mop for people who live in tiny areas. It’s extremely quick and quiet and it is able to navigate tight spaces efficiently. It is also very good at removing pet hair off carpeting.
It’s smaller than the majority of its competition however it doesn’t compromise features. It has good suction power and can be programmed to take photos of each object it chooses (i.e. chew toys socks, chew toys), and mark them in the app as ‘not located’, so that they won’t be picked up again during future cleanings. Its photos are encrypted and aren’t tied to your account.
It’s great at vacuuming, but not so good in mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that are clipped onto the bottom of the bot, and it basically drags them around the floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal that have water reservoirs and automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
