To address this issue, we conducted cross-sectional epidemiological studies on the prevalence of mental disorders in ethnic groups. Studying the unique situation of ethnic minorities can help us better understand their mental state and improve their quality of life.We conducted a cross-sectional epidemiological survey on a minority group in Southwest China. We used the cluster sampling method, and 2129 people were included in the study.The highest 1-month disorder prevalence was for alcohol dependence/abuse (4.16%), and the prevalence of lifelong mood disorders was 9.82%. The results of multivariate analysis showed that women faced a higher risk of mood disorders and anxiety disorders.This epidemiological survey of the prevalence of mental disorders in ethnic minorities in Southwest China provides a significant reference for mental health interventions for other ethnic minorities around the world.

    The prognostic significance of preoperative prognostic nutritional index (PNI) in ovarian cancer (OC) is uncertain, and this study is aimed to clarify the prognostic significance.

    We used 4 common databases for conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis, and eligible studies were included in the analysis. The association of preoperative PNI with overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), and clinicopathological parameters was analyzed.

    A total of 2050 patients with OC receiving the surgical treatment were analyzed in this study. N-Nitroso-N-methylurea Patients with low PNI tended to have a shorter OS (hazard ratio [HR] = 1.82, 95% CI = 1.30-2.55, P < .01) and PFS (HR = 1.91, 95% CI = 1.53-2.39, P < .01) compared with those with high PNI. Besides, low PNI was significantly associated with more advanced International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics stage (P < .01), the occurrence of ascites (P < .01), larger residual tumor (P < .01), insensitive to chemotherapy (P < .01), and higher CA125 (P < .01) compared with high PNI in OC.

Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a clustering of clinical findings that has been shown to increase the risk of the surgical outcomes. Our study aimed to evaluate whether MetS was a risk factor for increased perioperative outcomes in patients undergoing posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF).We retrospectively analyzed patients over 18 years following elective posterior lumbar spine fusion from January 2014 to December 2018. Emergency procedures, infections, tumor, fracture, and revision surgeries were excluded. Patients were divided into 2 groups with and without MetS. The MetS was defined by having 3 of the following 4 criteria obesity (body mass index ≥30 kg/m), dyslipidemia, hypertension, and diabetes. The follow-up period lasted up to 30 days after surgery. The outcomes of demographics, comorbidities, perioperative complications, and length of stay were compared between the 2 groups. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to identify perioperatiperioperative complications, and extend length of stay after PLIF. Strategies to minimize the adverse effect of MetS should be considered for these patients.

    Neurogenic tumors are the most frequent neoplasms of the lower posterior mediastinum. Traditionally, lower posterior mediastinal tumors are excised by video-assisted thoracic surgery. However, the available robotic treatment for the lower posterior mediastinum tumors to date are rare. Herein, we report a case of a right lower posterior mediastinal tumors successfully treated with retroperitoneal robot-assisted surgery using a transdiaphragmatic approach.

    The patient was treated with retroperitoneal robot-assisted surgery using a transdiaphragmatic approach and remained disease-free throughout a 6-month follow-up. His postoperative course was uneventful. Histopathological examination revealed a benign schwannoma.

    The following electronic bibliographic databases will be searched to identify relevant studies from December 2019 to December 2020 MEDLINE, PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Technical Periodicals, Wan-fang data, Chinese Biological Medicine Database, and other databases. The search results will not be restricted by language, all included articles were randomized controlled trial. Two independent researchers will conduct article retrieval, de-duplication, filtering, quality assessment, and data analysis through the Review Manager (V.5.3). Meta-analysis, subgroup analysis and/or descriptive analysis were performed on the included data.

    High-quality synthesis and/or descriptive analysis of current evidence will be provided from outcomes.
