Surrounded by pristine US Virgin Islands National Park on the island of St. John, Concordia Eco-Resort overlooks the Caribbean waters of Salt Pond Bay, Drunk Bay, and the Drake Passage. A variety of accommodations are perched like tree houses along the hillside, connected by elevated walkways to minimize impact and engage the surrounding flora and fauna. Low-impact construction, an extensive rain-water collection system, photovoltaic electric generation, and its recycling program make Concordia the perfect retreat for the eco-conscience traveler.
All year round, guests are invited to enjoy an hour-long yoga class, led by local instructors, in Concordia’s open-air Yoga Pavilion – situated to take full advantage of the cooling Trade Winds and stunning views. Mats and equipment are available for your convenience.
Classes are held daily at Concordia’s beautiful yoga pavilion with breathtaking views of Salt Pond Bay and Rams Head. The yoga schedule features a variety of teachers. Classes are generally vinyasa flow with a range of styles and three levels of classes…gentle, active and strong flow.
Concordia is a favorite location for special yoga and wellness events. The yoga teacher community organizes various events for the St. John and St. Thomas residents. Events usually include a yoga session focusing on a particular theme, followed by entertainment and dinner.
One very special event at Concordia is Senior Day!!! Seniors from both St. John and St. Thomas enjoy a day at Concordia including a session of chair yoga. Elizabeth Gowan led the chair yoga session in May, 2012.
All are welcome at Concordia!!!
