Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more efficient, passing our cleaning tests and tackling different types of floors. Look for models that let you choose from multiple modes, use their charging docks to self-empty and clean the stairs.

A lot of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, schedules and choose cleaning modes.

    1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy’s gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It uses lidar to navigate, and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and alter the behavior of the S1.

When I tried the S1, it was quick to locate our downstairs, which is home to laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, as well as carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without colliding with them and even managed to cross thresholds that were raised in the room without issue, though it occasionally struggled to get down stairs in a single step. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. robot vacuums best sped along on its flat side and swung up when it came to carpets or rug.

The docking station of the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and replenishes its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 mopping sessions, however it will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to keep it working well. You’ll need to wash out the dirty tank to avoid it becoming blocked. Also, you’ll need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to keep them from becoming clogged with dust or dirt. Overall the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other combinations which require more effort to maintain.

    2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a reliable option for cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction and offers many innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station, as needed.

This robot combo is easy to setup and use, and has a clear interface that guides you through the process. It includes an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot can’t reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and refilled as needed. It comes with a variety of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum cleaner. It has a strong suction which can easily remove dirt and other debris that other robots have trouble with. Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it can be stuck on small mats and rugs around my home (which you can alleviate by creating virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping feature is pretty good as well, with a pair of spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub the floors instead of simply dragging the pad over it. The mops can be cleaned with hot water and dried in the basestation as required. The mops are also refilled at the top of the station if they are required.

    3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new flagship model of robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It is a great cleaner and is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our top list of mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush will ensure an effective, customized cleaning is completed.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up fine and large debris from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests well while avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping capability of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that automatically moves out to get into areas that are difficult to reach and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.

Its navigation is intelligent that can navigate small spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It is able to move from one room to the next without having to change direction. This is a great feature for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than other models however, and tends to leave a large margin over obstacles, which can result in missed spots.

Its app has a streamlined, intuitive interface that should be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings. You can also adjust suction power, mop settings, and view 3-D and 2D maps. It can be operated via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri which allows you to keep an eye on its progress from anywhere. You can also use the X40 Ultra’s camera remotely for real-time video monitoring. You will need a stable internet connection to access the app and external controls.

    4. Roomba Q5 Pro

Robot vacuums are excellent at picking up dirt and debris but they’re not able to get every bit of dust. This is why it’s crucial to use your regular vacuum at least once a week, especially to pick up dust in corners, on shelves and in the corners of your couch. Roborock’s Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed specifically for this purpose. It’s easy to connect it to your Wi-Fi at home network and integrates with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more useful addition to your routine of cleaning.

The Q5 is an edgier version of the company’s expensive S-series models. It includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It uses a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but it saves cost by eliminating the mopping functionality and by using a cheaper plastic body.

Although it’s no longer able to mop floors, the Q5 still has the best vacuum and mopping performance we’ve seen on a robot at this price. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and an auto-empty system which means you don’t need to empty the bin manually every time. It comes with a smart app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and choose the floor type. It also has an automatic water tank filling and washing system that is hands-free.

Its mops are also awe-inspiring, with 2700Pa of power to tackle dirt, dust, and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is among the few robots we test that didn’t have issues with high-pile carpets or area carpets, but it didn’t remove cables or kitty litter that’s not a surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

    5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also features a unique mapping system that lets it reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums can’t. It also is able to collect more dust in a larger bin, so you don’t need to empty it as frequently. It also has washable filters which can further cut costs. This robot can detect carpets, and increase suction if needed. You can also mark areas you would like the robot to avoid using the app.
