John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a fair price for such a cot. She also liked how it was positioned in the bedroom and thought that the grey color would suit most modern homes. The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco’s most expensive options, but it is packed with lots of features. It’s designed to be used as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel using the new mechanism. It’s also more flexible than the previous model, with 11 different height settings as well as retractable legs for a secure installation underneath any bed.
Our testers appreciated the ease of access provided by the side panel, which can be moved upwards and down with one click of a button. This was a huge benefit during night time feeds, as it meant they could easily reach in and take their baby away without disturbing them up.
The side panel can be lifted on its own however, it’s not recommended as this increases the chance of your child falling out of the cot. The safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will only remain in place when it is attached correctly to the parent’s mattress. This is a wonderful feature to have in place for peace of mind, especially in the case of breastfeeding and frequent nighttime feedings.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers thanks to the telescopic legs. It also has tilting functions for babies with reflux and a rocking mode to bring them back to sleep after eating. It’s also incredibly spacious and provides great ventilation due to its mesh sides.
Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, although it comes with lengthy instructions. It is a little heavier than other side-sleepers, but it can still be easily moved from one area to another. It’s small enough to fit into a travel bag when not in use, which is an advantage in the event that you have to transport it. The only thing our testers found is that the side panel didn’t stretch as much as other models. This made it a little harder to observe your baby from the bed.

The only drawback was the lack of captions written on a few of the images which made it difficult to comprehend certain steps. Overall, the procedure was easy and the materials used were of top quality.
