Thais Taylor is an inner peace, freedom, and wisdom seeker. She is a free spirit in love with nature, oceans, and wind. A mermaid at heart, native to the islands, she finds her love for all things nature to radiate joy and peace into her life.
It all started with a meditation class she took while in college. After graduating with a Liberal Arts degree in Languages from UMASS, Thais moved to the Grand Canyon in 2007. The majesty and beauty of the canyon served as inspiration to dig deeper within and thus, she became more immersed in meditation and the practice of yoga.
In 2009, Thais moved to the magical and beautiful island of St John, (US Virgin Islands) taking her personal practice to a new level. Completely emerging herself into the natural wonders of the island, she finds her life to be complete here.
It was this year when she first stepped on a paddle board. That was the beginning of what has become a lifelong love. As she increased her paddling experience, she gradually integrated new ways to challenge herself and her yoga practice. Combining a playful blend of challenging poses with deep relaxing stretches at the end of her paddles.
In early 2014, Thais received her Paddle into Fitness SUP yoga certification from Gillian Gibree in San Diego. Then, she went onto receiving her 200 RYT from Pavones Yoga Center in Costa Rica. She teaches and practices a variety of multidimensional vinyasa flows, pranayama techniques, SUP yoga, and has recently fallen in love with Yin yoga.
When not in the water paddling, surfing, or windsurfing, you may find Thais kneeling in her organic garden -another of her passions- hiking wonder-filled trails, cooking vegetarian feasts. Conversing with dear friends or cuddling with her ridiculously handsome kitty, Dynamite. At other times, Thais can be found ruminating markets, towns, and other oceans where her love for traveling may have taken her.
