4 mg NO3–N L-1 h-1. Nitrate can act as an electron acceptor, and denitrification can promote aerobic degradation and intensify the concentration gradient inside the biofilm to strengthen the toluene transfer process. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of the application of multivariate criteria of principal components and hierarchical clustering as a mechanism for monitoring the performance of Tifton 85 grass (Cynodon spp.) planted in horizontal subsurface flow constructed wetland reactor (HSSF-CW) under different organic (OLR), nutritional and sodium loads of swine wastewater (SW). The HSSF-CW planted with Tifton 85 grass was used as a swine wastewater after treatment applying organic loading rates between 26.1 (1st cut) and 360.6 kg ha-1 day-1 COD (8th cut). The maximum performances of HSSF-CW consisted of 52.0 t ha-1 of productivity and 24.0% of crude protein, with the application of 59.7, 64.2, and 31.2 kg ha-1 day-1 of TKN, PT, and K+, respectively. The eleven original variables generated four new components, with PC4 accounting for 94.0% of total variance, a condition strengthened with four data groupings greater than 48% similarity and three data groupings greater than 95% similarity between the variables. There was a strong association between of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium concentration by the hierarchical grouping and the intermediate cuts and lower temperatures. The influence of grazing and mining on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) species in grassland were studied around the opencast coal mine pit. The two sampling transects had been designed which was located in the grazing area and in the non-grazing area in the grassland on the north side of the opencast coal mining area. Besides, two control points with the direct distance of 8 km to the opencast coal mining area have been designed. The two points are located in the inside grassland station and outside the grassland station. We collected 3 replicate rhizosphere soil in every point which is from the two transects. We analyzed the genetic diversity of AMF, measured the chemical properties and enzyme of rhizosphere soil of Cleistogenes squarrosa, and explored their correlations using redundancy analysis. And we identified the factors affecting species diversity of AMF around the mining area. Our results showed that grazing on the grassland around the opencast coal mine will aggravate soil degradation and reduce the species richness and diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in rhizosphere soil, which can be a theoretical basis for the scientific management of the grassland around the opencast mining area. The ability of mushrooms to accumulate heavy metals has increased concerns over their toxic effects on human health in recent years. The aim of this study was to determine the metal contents (Zn, Fe, Co, Mn, Cu, Pb, Ni, and Cd), daily intake of metal (DIM) and health risk index (HRI) values of nineteen different mushroom species (edible, inedible, and poisonous) collected from Uzungol, Trabzon (Turkey). Although the area where mushrooms were collected has the status of “Natural Park,” there has been an excessive human settlement in recent years. Elemental analyses have shown that Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, Co, Cd, Pb, and Ni concentrations in mushrooms were in the following ranges 49.0-1713.0, 3.0-425.0, 3.0-154.0, 16.0-134.0, 0.17-1.79, 0.28-7.88, 0.07-5.68, and 0.24-6.82 mg/kg dry weight, respectively. As a result of DIM analysis, while it was determined that the daily consumption of Hygrophorus pudorinus, Meripilus giganteus, and Sarcodon imbricatus was safe for all the metals examined, HRI analysis showed that only M. giganteus and S. imbricatus can be consumed safely. The content of Cd was found to be above the legal limits determined by the competent authorities. According to Pearson correlation analysis, the correlations between Fe-Pb, Cu-Zn, Cd-Co, Pb-Co, Cd-Fe, Co-Fe, Cd-Pb, and Fe-Mn pairs were statistically significant (p less then 0.01). Although the data obtained from this study did not provide clear data on environmental pollution in the area where the samples were collected, it was concluded that the competent authorities should take measures regarding possible environmental pollution at this location. The utilization of agricultural wastes is an attractive and viable option to reduce the environmental pollution and reverse the over-exploitation of fossil fuels. Now-a-days, the usage of fossil fuels has increased manifold causing twin serious problems such as depletion of limited source of fossil fuels and increase in environmental pollution with major consequences. learn more In this study, briquettes were produced using sorghum panicles (SP) and pearl millet (PM) with different ratios (1000, 1090, 2080, 3070, 4060, 5050, 6040, 7030, 8020, 9010 and 0100) using cassava starch as a binder with a planned compacting pressure level (200 kN) by exploring hydraulic compression method. The proximate parameters such as water content, level of fixed carbon, ash and volatile matter were determined using American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard procedures. The elemental analyses (SEM/EDAX) which include carbon (C), oxygen (O), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), chlorine (Cl), sulphur (S), phosphorus (P), aluminium (Ass briquettes are potentially good fuels that derived from agro wastes. Likewise, the determined parameters are compared with the other biomass briquettes.Occupational exposure to inhalational anesthetics has been associated with health problems, including reproductive issues. Considering the scarcity and outdated nature of reviews concerning this relevant topic, which has implications for indoor pollution/environmental science/public health, this critical review aimed to systematically evaluate whether exposure to inhalational anesthetics is associated with abortion. Seven databases were searched with no language or year restrictions. Of the 3881 search results, 18 observational studies were included. Some studies demonstrated a significant association between occupational exposure to inhalational anesthetics and spontaneous abortion, especially among professionals who work for longer periods and/or in an environment without gas scavenging/ventilation systems, which may favor the occurrence of abortion in this population. Due to considerable heterogeneity and limitations, it cannot be concluded whether an association exists between occupational exposure to anesthetics and the occurrence of abortion.
