work was effectively completed and operations were performed on schedule. Other hospitals may consider using this tool to evaluate potential risks to patient safety and to develop solutions to improve the quality of healthcare processes.

The author of this paper works in the critical care ward of an internal medicine department. During the study period, current trainees in a nurse post graduate year (NPGY) program joined our nurse team. While at our ward, they were required to demonstrate clinical nursing competencies in intensive care units in the facets of nursing knowledge, equipment use, prediction of emergencies, emergency response, and patient evaluation and management. The ability to interpret arrhythmias is critical to connecting and coordinating these competencies. However, arrhythmia interpretation is usually the most difficult skill for nurses to master.

This study was developed to improve the knowledge of NPGY trainees regarding arrhythmia interpretation, the accuracy of their arrhythmia interpretation and management, and their confidence in caring for patients with arrhythmia.

The period of this study spanned from April 5th to June 18th, 2018. After surveying the current capabilities of the NPGY trainees to provide a referently improved the confidence of trainees to serve as critical care nurses and to pursue a career in critical care nursing.

The diverse teaching approach employed in this study enhanced the ability of trainees to remember and recall relevant theories as well as improved their related practical skills. Furthermore, posttest, the trainees were significantly less nervous during encounters with patients with arrhythmia and demonstrated improved problem-solving abilities. Participation in this intervention significantly improved the confidence of trainees to serve as critical care nurses and to pursue a career in critical care nursing.

Most advanced lung cancer patients have already received many types of treatment before starting immunotherapy. VEGFR inhibitor Compared with advanced lung cancer patients under first-line treatment, those receiving immunotherapy are vulnerable to many health problems and increased frailty.

This study was designed to investigate frailty in advanced lung cancer patients before starting immunotherapy.

A total of 52 pre-immunotherapy patients completed the survey. Frailty status was determined using the Fried standard and survey questionnaires included the Barthel Index, Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale, the Chinese version of scales of international physical activities questionnaire (short version). In addition, the handgrip and 4.6-meter walk speed of the participants were measured.

    The ratio of frailty was 17.3%, with comorbidities (p = .023), body mass index (p = .004), Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group Status (p < .001), activities of daily living status (p < .001), albumin (p = .042), and C-reactive protein (p = .048) all associated with frailty.

In this study, weight loss and low physical activity were the main symptoms of frailty in patients with advanced lung cancer. Therefore, healthcare workers should assess the nutrition and physical activity status of patients before initiating immunotherapy. We suggest that clinical care workers provide frailty care to patients before administering immunotherapy.

The findings of recent studies indicate that self-care behaviors are significantly associated with diabetes-related distress and social support in patients with type 2 diabetes. Moreover, Big-Five personality traits are also considered to be associated with self-care behaviors and should be considered.

This study was designed to investigate the associations between Big-Five personality traits, diabetes-related distress, and social support and diabetes self-care behaviors in patients with type 2 diabetes.

A cross-sectional study design was conducted with 200 participants recruited by convenience sampling. A self-reported questionnaire was used to collect data on demographic and disease characteristics, Big Five personality indicators, diabetes-related distress, social support, and self-care behavior. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean and standard deviation, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation test, and enter method multiple regression analysis.

Social support was found to re 2 diabetes. As personality traits were found to be significantly associated with self-care behaviors, these should be included in the individual health education program.

Gastrointestinal cancer is one of the higher-incidence malignant tumors worldwide. A majority of patients with gastrointestinal cancer receive chemotherapy, with peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) serving as the main infusion instrument. Little research has addressed the issue of post-catheterization comfort in patients.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the comfort status of patients with gastrointestinal cancer at a tertiary hospital in China after PICC catheterization and to analyze the influencing factors.

Ninety-one patients with gastrointestinal cancer who were currently receiving initial chemotherapy were recruited from a third-class hospital in Changsha City from June 2018 to August 2019. Patients received ultrasound-guided PICC catheterization and were then investigated one-month later using a general demographics questionnaire, comfort evaluation scale, Cancer Patients PICC Self-management Scale, and complications evaluation scale.

Ninety-one effective questionnaires wernal cancer after PICC catheterization was comfort. In clinical work, nurses should choose the left limb based on patient wishes, pay attention to improving the self-management ability of patients, and provide appropriate nursing suggestions for patients who are wage earners to improve post-catheterization comfort.
