However, the toxicity of green tea and its underlying mechanism are still poorly understood. Here, we evaluated the effect of green tea and its constituents on development by exposing zebrafish embryos to them. Morphologic results demonstrated that 0.1% and 0.2% green tea increased mortality, delayed epiboly of gastrulation, and shortened body length. K975 Green tea altered the expression pattern of dlx3, cstlb, myod, and papc and decreased the expression levels of wnt5 and wnt11, suggesting that green tea disturbed convergence and extension movement through the downregulation of wnt5 and wnt11. The increased expression of the dorsal gene chordin and reduced expression of wnt8 and its target genes vox and vent in embryos exposed to 0.1% and 0.2% green tea indicated that green tea could affect dorsoventral differentiation by inhibiting the wnt8 signaling pathway. Additionally, green tea could inhibit epiboly progression by disrupting F-actin organization or removing F-actin in vegetal yolks during gastrulation. However, no malformation was caused by exposure to the five catechins and gallic acid individually. The mixture of constituents showed a similar effect to green tea solution on the embryos, such as smaller eyes and head, shorter body length, and slower heart rate, which indicated that the effect of green tea solution on embryo development was mainly due to the comprehensive effect of multiple components in the green tea solution.An efficient “one-pot” strategy for the structure-controlled synthesis of hyperbranched polymers (HBPs) based on a “latent” inimer (LI-Br), containing a furan-protected maleimide monomer and a haloalkane initiator, is presented. At high temperatures, the “latent” inimer is converted to a “real” inimer after releasing maleimide (MI) via a retro-Diels-Alder (r-DA) reaction and then copolymerized with methyl methacrylate by self-condensing vinyl copolymerization. Due to the dynamic characteristic of the r-DA reaction, the release of naked MI and the subsequent copolymerization can be regulated by the temperature or stereochemistry of Diels-Alder (DA) adducts. Thus, the “one-pot” structure-controlled synthesis of HBPs with various degrees of branching was achieved. By further implementation of a programmable temperature change, some valuable hyperbranched topologies such as star-shaped and long-chain hyperbranched polymers can be constructed avoiding sophisticated synthetic routes.This study aimed to understand the suicidal ideation and suicidal attempts among cancer patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. The data were collected from patients diagnosed with cancer while attending the largest cancer center in the south of China. A structured questionnaire was used to investigate patients’ demographic data, suicidal behavior, and factors related to COVID-19. Mental health conditions were measured by the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7, the Patient Health Questionnaire-9, and the Brief Symptom Inventory. Comorbidities and medical conditions of cancer patients were extracted from the electronic healthcare records. Among the 5670 cancer patients, 755 (13.3%) reported suicidal ideation, and 266 (4.7%) reported suicidal attempts during the COVID-19 pandemic. The age group with the highest risk of suicidal ideation was 20-24 years (23.9%). Lifetime history of suffering from mental disorders, longer time since cancer diagnosis, regional and distant tumor stage, depression, anxiety, hostility, haic psychological interventions to reduce the risk factors among cancer patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.Microbial consortia constitute a promising tool for achieving high-value chemical bio-production. However, customizing the consortium ratio remains challenging. Herein, an asymmetry distribution-based synthetic consortium (ADSC) was developed to switch cell phenotypes using shikimate synthesis for proof of concept. First, the cell pole-organizing protein PopZ was screened as a mediator of asymmetric protein distribution in Escherichia coli. The ADSC was then constructed to incorporate PopZ-mediated asymmetry distribution and a TetR-based transcription repression switch to achieve the dynamical control of microbial population ratio. Finally, the ADSC was used to decouple cell growth from shikimate synthesis by effectively coordinating the ratio of growing cells and production cells at the consortium level, thereby increasing shikimate titer to 30.1 g/L in the 7.5-L bioreactor with a minimal medium. This titer was further improved to 82.5 g/L when using rich medium fermentation. Our results illustrate a novel approach to control consortium structure through ADSC-mediated regulation, highlighting its potential as an efficient strategy for controlling metabolic state in microbes.Objective To evaluate the consistency of patient-completed and physician-completed Caprini scores. Methods This study was a diagnostic study. We prospectively recruited 200 inpatients (including respiratory and critical care medicine, rheumatology and immunology, obstetrics and gynecology, and orthopedics). Clinical data of the recruited patients were collected. The Wechat applet was developed based on the Chinese version of the patient-completed Caprini score. Patient could enter the Wechat applet by scanning the QR code, and enter the height, weight and other contents to the Wechat applet. The applet could automatically calculate the score and make the risk stratification according to total score. At the same time, physicians would calculate the traditional Caprini score for the same patient and make risk stratification to evaluate the consistency of scores derived from the two methods. Results The average age of these 200 patients was (59.6±13.9) years, 112(56.0%) of them were female and 184(92.0%) with hirobability event. It was inferred that the scores of patient-completed were consistent with those of the physician-completed. Conclusions The patient-completed Caprini score is in good agreement with the physician-completed Caprini score in this patient cohort.Objective To investigate the dynamic change of the secundum atrial septal defect (ASD) throughout the cardiac cycle, and assess its impact on occluder selection. Methods This study retrospectively analyzed 35 patients with ASD who received electrocardiogram-gated coronary CT angiography (CCTA) throughout the cardiac cycle as well as interventional closure therapy in Fuwai Hospital from December 2016 to December 2019. The raw data were reconstructed into 20 phasic images of RR intervals (RRI) ranging from 0 to 95% in an increment of 5% and transmitted to a workstation for postprocessing. For each phase image, CT virtual endoscopy reconstruction technique (CTVE) was used to provide views of ASD. Axial sequence assisted CT volumetric measurement (CTAS) was used to calculate the maximum dimensions in axial planes (Da) and in superior-inferior direction (Db). Using a formula for converting circumference to diameter, the equivalent circle dimensions were calculated (De, De=minor axis+2 (major axis-minor axis)/3). Taking the data of 75% RRI phase, the patients were divided into Da75%RRI≥Db75%RRI group and Da75%RRIDa. Db is basically constant while Da changes significantly during cardiac cycle (10%-90% RRI). Nonetheless, both values peak and maintain the maximum status at end-systolic phase (35%-45% RRI). For patients with huge ASD, occluder selection should be based on the De at 35% RRI phase, which is helpful for the successful intervention.Objective To evaluate the effect of Li’s catheter in cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) implantation. Methods This study was a retrospective cohort study. Patients with indications for CRT implantation who visited the Department of Cardiology, Peking University People’s Hospital from January 1, 2016 to January 1, 2022 were enrolled. Patients were divided into Li’s catheter group (CRT implantation with Li’s catheter) and control group (CRT implantation with the traditional method). The general clinical data of the patients were obtained through the electronic medical record system. Li’s catheter is a new type of coronary sinus angiography balloon catheter independently developed by Dr. Li Xuebin (patent number 201320413174.1). The primary outcome was the success rate of CRT device implantation, and the secondary outcomes included efficacy and safety parameters. Efficacy indicators included operation time, coronary sinus angiography time, left ventricular lead implantation time, X-ray exposure time, left v in Li’s catheter group was significantly lower than that in control group (P=0.011). The postoperative left ventricular thresholds in Li’s catheter group and control group were similar (1.80 (1.60, 2.38) V/0.5 ms vs. 1.80 (1.60, 2.40) V/0.5 ms, P=0.120). Conclusions Use of Li’s catheter is associated with higher success rate of CRT implantation, short time of coronary sinus angiography and left ventricular electrode implantation, reduction of intraoperative X-ray exposure, and lower incidence of coronary vein dissection in this patient cohort.Objective To investigate the relationship between high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and cardiovascular disease (CVD) and all-cause mortality in the elderly population. Methods A total of 14 355 elderly persons aged ≥65 years, who participated in the annual physical examination in Kailuan Group in 2006 were included in this prospective cohort study. According to HDL-C level, the participants were divided into 4 groups low-level group (HDL-C0.1). Conclusions In the elderly population, the risk of CVD is lowest when the HDL-C level is 1.55-1.80 mmol/L, either high or low HDL-C is a risk factor for CVD. High HDL-C tends to be related to increased risk of all-cause mortality and low HDL-C is not related to increased risk of all-cause mortality.Objective To investigate the correlation between heart rate index (HRI), systolic blood pressure(SBP) peak-to-SBPrest ratio (SBPR) and peak oxygen consumption (peakVO2) in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF), and discuss the possibility of using HRI and SBPR collected during exercise to assess the exercise tolerance of CHF patients in the absence of gas analysis. Methods In this cross-sectional study, a total of 547 patients with CHF who underwent cardiopulmonary exercise test(CPET) in Tongji Hospital Heart Rehabilitation Center Affiliated to Tongji University from March 2007 to December 2018 were collected retrospectively, focusing on their clinical data including age, gender, type of heart failure,BMI as well as data collected during their CPETs, such as peakVO2, HRI and SBPR. Spearman univariate correlation analysis was used for statistical analysis, to unveil the correlations between peakVO2 and those parameters, and multiple linear regression analysis was also conducted. Results A total of 547 CHF patients conducting CPET were included in this research, of which 447 were male, at age of 63(56, 69).
