Joint space mapping (JSM) can be used to quantitatively map joint space width (JSW) in three dimensions from CT images. Purpose To demonstrate the reproducibility, repeatability, and feasibility of JSM of the knee using weight-bearing CT images. Materials and Methods Two convenience samples of weight-bearing CT images of left and right knees with radiographic Kellgren-Lawrence grades (KLGs) less than or equal to 2 were acquired from 2014 to 2018 and were analyzed retrospectively with JSM to deliver three-dimensional JSW maps. For reproducibility, images of three sets of knees were used for novice training, and then the JSM output was compared against an expert’s assessment. JSM was also performed on 2-week follow-up images in the second cohort, yielding three-dimensional JSW difference maps for repeatability. Statistical parametric mapping was performed on all knee imaging data (KLG, 0-4) to show the fedifference across the lateral joint space. Conclusion Joint space mapping of the knee using weight-bearing CT images is feasible, demonstrating a relationship between the three-dimensional joint space width distribution and structural joint disease. It is reliably learned by novice users, can be personalized for disease phenotypes, and can be used to achieve a smallest detectable difference that is at least 50% smaller than that reported to be achieved at the highest performance level in radiography. © RSNA, 2021 Online supplemental material is available for this article. Purpose To evaluate features of preoperative MRI and MRI-guided biopsy immunohistochemistry (IHC) findings associated with biochemical recurrence (BCR) of prostate cancer after surgery. Materials and Methods In this retrospective case-control study, patients underwent multiparametric MRI before MRI-guided biopsy followed by radical prostatectomy between 2008 and 2016. Lesions were retrospectively scored with the Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System (PI-RADS) (version 2) by radiologists who were blinded to the clinical-pathologic results. The IHC staining, including stains for the ETS-related gene, phosphatase and tensin homolog, androgen receptor, prostate specific antigen, and p53, was performed with targeted biopsy specimens of the index lesion (highest suspicion at MRI and patholo were significantly associated with RFS. Conclusion MRI features, including Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System score, index lesion burden, extraprostatic extension, and preoperative guided biopsy p53 immunohistochemistry stain intensity are associated with biochemical relapse of prostate cancer after surgery. © RSNA, 2021 Online supplemental material is available for this article. Until recently, no fertility preservation options for prepubertal females were available. However, ovarian tissue cryopreservation has emerged as a safe and effective option for these children. In the next several years, it is likely that more pediatric patients, their families, and medical teams will pursue an ovarian cryopreservation protocol at their institutions. Patient selection, consenting, and laparoscopic oophorectomy can be done at many centers. GS-441524 nmr Then, the ovarian tissue is initially processed and transported to a specialized center for processing for cryopreservation. The cryopreservation techniques are best performed at appropriately certified centers processing high volumes of reproductive cells/tissues with expert personnel and specialized equipment. This article aims to provide an overview for pediatric biobank professionals who may be called to participate in this or similar protocols.Introduction Nasal obstruction is a common clinical problem. It has become more recognized that the internal and external nasal valves are the areas of greatest resistance. There are changes with aging that can contribute to nasal valve compromise. This study sought to evaluate the utilization of functional rhinoplasty, septoplasty, and inferior turbinate reduction procedures in the Medicare population. Methods The annual procedure data were obtained from the Part B National Summary Data File from 2000 to 2019. Functional rhinoplasty procedures using current procedural terminology (CPT) for rhinoplasty (30400, 30410, 30420, 30465), septoplasty (30520), and inferior turbinate reduction (30801, 30802, 30130, 30140, 30930) procedures were analyzed. Results There was increased use of CPT codes 30465, 30410, and 30420 with a decrease in 30400. There was an overall increase in codes 30520 and 30140. When adjusting for the Medicare population per 100,000 enrollees, there was increased use of 30465 and 30140 and decrease in 30520. The charges and payment trends were similar to the overall use of CPT codes. Discussion There is an overall increase in use of nasal airway procedures including functional rhinoplasty in the aging population.Several weed species are known as alternative hosts of the Fusarium graminearum species complex (FGSC), and their epidemiological significance in Fusarium head blight (FHB) has been investigated, but scant information is available regarding FGSC occurrence in weeds near Chinese wheat fields. To evaluate the potential role of gramineous weeds surrounding wheat fields in FHB, 306 FGSC isolates were obtained from 210 gramineous weed samples in 2018 in Jiangsu Province. Among them, 289 were F. asiaticum and the remainder were F. graminearum. Trichothecene genotype and mycotoxin analyses revealed that 74.3% of the F. asiaticum isolates were the 3-acetyldeoxynivalenol (3ADON) chemotype and the remainder were the nivalenol (NIV) chemotype. Additionally, 82.4% of F. graminearum isolates were the 15-acetyldeoxynivalenol (15ADON) chemotype and the remainder were the NIV chemotype. FHB severity and trichothecene analysis indicated that F. asiaticum isolates with the 3ADON chemotype were more aggressive than those with the NIV chemotype in wheat.
