Moreover, a set of the candidate nodes are created, and most of the periphery nodes are removed during a pruning approach to reduce the computational overhead. Therefore, the seed nodes are selected from the candidate nodes set using the role of the bridge nodes. Experimental results in both synthetic and real data sets showed that the proposed SRFM algorithm has more acceptable efficiency in the influence spread and runtime than other algorithms.Glaesserella parasuis causes porcine Glässer’s disease and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induces acute inflammation and pathological damage. Baicalin has antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory functions. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play key regulatory functions during bacterial infection. However, the role of lncRNAs in the vascular dysfunction induced by a combination of G. see more parasuis and LPS during systemic inflammation and the effect of baicalin on lncRNA expression induced in porcine aortic vascular endothelial cells (PAVECs) by a combination of G. parasuis and LPS have not been investigated. In this study, we investigated the changes in lncRNA and mRNA expression induced in PAVECs by G. parasuis, LPS, or a combination of G. parasuis and LPS, and the action of baicalin on lncRNA expression induced in PAVECs by the combination of G. parasuis and LPS. Our results showed 133 lncRNAs and 602 genes were differentially expressed when PAVECs were stimulated with the combination of G. parasuis and LPS, wher may provide novel targets for the treatment of LPS-induced systemic inflammation. This paper presents research conducted by the Arlington County Department of Human Services to understand the use of safety net services during the pandemic, identify disparities, and reduce or eliminate them. Arlington County’s levels of health and economic wellbeing are generally high; however, residents of color experience significant disparities compared with White residents, with lower median incomes, lower rates of college completion, lower life expectancies, and higher rates of chronic illness. During the COVID-19 pandemic, these disparities were amplified as Black and Latinx residents experienced disproportionately high rates of COVID-19 infection, hospitalization, and death, as well as disproportionately high rates of job loss. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Arlington County mounted an interdisciplinary response to stabilize community needs, including food security, eviction prevention, isolation housing, behavioral health stabilization, and digital equity. This integrated approach was especially important during the pandemic, as the direct and indirect effects of the pandemic disproportionately impacted health and economic wellbeing among Arlington’s Black and Latinx residents, low-income residents, and vulnerable communities.Purpose The primary aim of this study was to investigate the extent to which individuals with facial and/or speech differences secondary to a craniofacial anomaly experienced bullying through social media platforms during late school age and adolescence. Method Using an online survey platform, a questionnaire was distributed via several public and private social media groups designated for individuals with craniofacial anomaly and their caregivers. Results The majority of participants (n = 38; 88.4%) indicated they had been bullied during late school-age and adolescence and that they believed this was due to their facial difference and/or speech disorder (n = 27; 71.1%). Almost one third indicated they had been victims of cyberbullying during this time (n = 12; 31.6%) with the most common venues being texting and Facebook. Despite the large percentage of participants who reported being bullied through social media, half (n = 6) indicated they did not often report these instances of cyberbullying. Conclusions As social media use continues to increase, it appears inevitable that cyberbullying will occur. Particularly vulnerable to both traditional and cyberbullying are individuals with craniofacial anomalies. Because of the specialized training of speech-language pathologists, school-based speech-language pathologists are in a unique position to play a key role in school-wide antibullying efforts and to educate school personnel on ways in which to support the needs of children with craniofacial anomalies both inside and outside of the classroom.Acinetobacter baumannii and Pseudomonas aeruginosa are among the most prevalent pathogens causing a wide range of serious infections in hospitalized patients and contaminating intensive care units and inanimate surfaces. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mechanism of carbapenem resistance in clinical and hospital environmental isolates of A. baumannii and P. aeruginosa recovered from a Libyan hospital. From a total of 82 Gram-negative bacteria, 8 isolates of A. baumannii and 3 isolates of P. aeruginosa exhibited resistance to imipenem with minimum inhibitory concentrations ranging from 16 to >32 μg/mL. Five isolates of A. baumannii harbored blaOXA-23 gene, from which three isolates were collected from patients and two from hospital environment. Only one isolate harbored blaNDM-1 gene, which was responsible for carbapenem resistance in A. baumannii. The OprD gene seems to be disturbed by an insertion sequence (IS) in two isolates and affected by polymorphism in one isolate. Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis results showed high genetic diversity among carbapenemase producing A. baumannii. This study highlights the dissemination of blaOXA-23 and blaNDM-1 genes in a Libyan setting. Therefore, infection prevention and control practices, antimicrobial stewardship initiatives, and antimicrobial resistance surveillance systems should be implemented to prevent the wide spread of antimicrobial resistance.Purpose Tinnitus, or the perception of sounds that occur without an external sound source, is a prevalent condition worldwide. For a subset of adults, tinnitus causes significant distress and impairment. Several patient-reported outcome measures have been developed to assess severity of tinnitus distress. However, at present, the field lacks a brief measure that is sensitive to treatment change. The purpose of the current study was to develop and preliminarily validate a brief questionnaire for tinnitus severity from two existing measures of tinnitus-related distress, the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI) and Tinnitus Functional Index (TFI). Method Using data from nine study samples in the United States and United Kingdom, we conducted exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses to identify a short measure with good psychometric properties. We also assessed sensitivity to treatment-related change by examining associations with change in the TFI and THI. Finally, we conducted a confirmatory factor analysis of the final short questionnaire in a new sample of adults seeking treatment for tinnitus-related distress.
